A boutique eco resort in cherai beach -

Les 3 elephants a boutique eco resort in the banks of backwaters of Cherai beach, offers an incredible view on the backwaters.

The hotel has been built with local workers and materials, in the strict respect of the backwaters fragile ecosystem. Following the traditional method, in association with various types de bamboos, the coconut trees are entirely used for the construction of the roofs. These thatched roofs provide a highly efficient insulation. Combined with the front and back sit-out, cross ventilation and proper orientation, our bungalows are naturally cool and ventilated. The red and black oxide floors, which define the colour identity of Les 3 Elephants, are an adaptation of an ancient technique using natural pigments, which you can still find in many old houses in Kerala. Solar water heater, low consumption bulbs and five stars electrical devices stand in the logic of our ecological commitment.
